The growing movement of veganism culture is drawing increasing scientific attention but falls short of an empirical investigation to examine antecedents and catalytic experiences for maintaining vegan diets. An integrated theoretical framework is proposed using the Theory of Planned Behaviour Model (TPB) and includes ethical concerns to investigate the interrelationships. Comparisons are also made by adopting the strength of high and low ethical catalytic experiences of each consumer group to identify moderating results. The proposed conceptual model was tested using Structural Equation Modelling from the responses of 478 vegan consumers. Results indicate that the TPB factors exert positive effects on the buying intention and ethical concerns mediate the relationship between attitudes and intention, as well as between PBC and intention, however, social norms did not impact ethical concerns.While consumers experiencing high catalytic experience had no significance, low catalytic experience consumers showed an inverse significant moderating relationship on PBC and maintaining vegan diets. Whereas the relationship for ethical concerns influencing the intention to buy vegan foods was significant and positive for the high catalytic experienced consumer, but not significant for the low catalytic experienced consumer. The moderating results for social norms were not significant on ethical concerns for the high catalytic experienced consumer but were negatively significant for the low catalytic experienced consumers indicating that the effect of peer pressure increase, results in a decline for ethical considerations.These findings offer strong theoretical and practical implications by contributing to the understanding of consumers’ behavioural intention to undertake vegan diets and extending our knowledge for formulating retail strategies to effectively tailor their offerings for this consumer segment.  相似文献

This research aims to study citizens' intention to download and use the COVID-19 tracing app in France. The theoretical framework considered the theory of technology acceptance model, the theory of goal-directed behaviour, and the theory of privacy to explain the intention to use the COVID-19 tracing app. The methodology included an online survey to examine the theoretical model, which was tested using structural equation modelling. The results show that anticipated emotions, perceived usefulness, privacy concerns, and perceived permission sensitivity significantly contribute towards the intention to adopt the StopCovid app. Subjective norms and goal desire do not exert a direct impact. These findings provide both theoretical and practical implications by adding the extrinsic social value dimension to the analyses of the StopCovid app and presenting antecedents for enhancing its design and safety.  相似文献

非个人数据作为一种资源,其价值在于不断地流通。而在现行法律框架内,合同法+侵权法+技术措施为数据生产者架构了一个事实财产权的框架,在实现数据保护的同时加剧了数据锁定之风险,不能为数据流通提供行为预期。而数据赋权的意义在于,承认数据的事实财产权,并进一步将之塑造为实证法上的权利概念,从而为数据流通提供行为预期。数据生产者(包括单个数据生产者和数据集生产者)作为数据流通的发起者,在数据生产过程中投入了大量的人力、财力,因而需要赋之以权利,通过法律上的激励机制实现数据流通。排他权是权利结构的核心,数据资源的排他权并非没有先例可循,商业秘密即可借鉴。对于数据资源排他权的塑造,其维度有二:一是通过合同界定出价值量相对完整的客体,即单个数据抑或数据集(维度广、种类多、数据量大);二是通过行为规范,即从来源合法和使用不违法两个层面构建数据利用行为规范。只是客体特定化需要通过技术手段(如可追溯日志)甚至法院确权程序(如果有的话)来确定。其结果就是,该项权利消弭了对世性,即有限对世,丧失控制即丧失权利。这样的权利设计既迎合数据资源属性,亦符合财产法原理。  相似文献

Using the data from the China Family Panel Studies from 2010 to 2018, we find that rising income inequality causes parents to spend more on children’s education, both in school and out of school. The impact of income inequality on out-of-school expenditures is significant at intensive and extensive margins, especially for study-related tutoring participation. Furthermore, we find some empirical evidence suggesting that in response to rising inequality, mothers spend more time on children’s education and there exists a substitution effect between time and money. Further analysis suggests two potential reasons for the rising education spending: (1) a higher income inequality resulting from rising skill premium strengthens parents’ long-lasting cultural attitude towards education to higher levels, inducing them to spend more on educational investment, and (2) a higher income inequality increases the value of higher education, leading to a stronger demand for better educational opportunities, and then, more intense education competition, forcing parents to invest more in education.  相似文献

In their “Così fan tutte: A better approach than the right to be forgotten”, Martha Garcia-Murillo and Ian MacInnes (2018) present an alternative to the right to be forgotten. It mainly consists of changing social norms to a more open and transparent society and improving anti-discrimination laws. In this reply, I challenge their suggestions both empirically and normatively, arguing that they cannot achieve what they set-out; that their analysis of privacy and the right to be forgotten misses important aspects that go beyond discrimination; and that we have a shared interest in allowing individuals to live a partly opaque life.  相似文献
